How To Choose Jewelry Display Boxes

By Susan White

Jewels, trinkets, gems, and general curios are just great novelty pieces to have. They accentuate our styles and moods and basically are just great collectors items. Even when theyre not in use, theyre not the types that we usually stash away unnoticed. For always, they have to be presentable and available for observation with our discerning eyes. Take a look at these Jewelry Display Boxes.

It might not seem evident right off the bat. However, getting the right kind of display case is just as important as anything else. Thats because they can potentially set up the tone and atmosphere of a particular jewel. Through unassuming motifs and other thingamajigs, it subconsciously influences how we see and perceive the centerpiece.

In this case, we are talking about containers and receptacles that function with Display in mind. You will have to append that with further considerations. For example, will it stay where it is, will it be transported, or is it temporary or final. Is it for home use or is the display for the public or for commercial purposes. All these factors will have a say on what kind of repository youll end up with.

It has to enhance your jewels, but in a good way. In this case, the container and whats contained are no longer separate entities. Rather, theyre mostly taken as one. Of course, youll have to trust the repository to seem as unassuming as possible when in fact its making a huge influence on presentation. The best box is something that youll not appreciate for what it is, but for rather how it makes things to be.

And then, of course, theres the size as well. You have those that are as small as a matchbox, and then you have those that are as big as an oven, or maybe a dishwasher. Whatever the case, get the box with the contents in mind. It will be all self defeating when you get yourself something that is incongruous or just generally ill suited with its cargo.

Boxes dont literally have to be square shaped. As long as theyre containers, then they good as fulfill their purpose, even if they come in outlandish and newfangled shapes. However, there are yet many other kinds of forms, such as busts and mannequins, T bar stands, bangle displays, tray inserts, trees, pillows, and so on and so forth.

And, of course, pin down the mechanics and dynamics of the box. How would you want it to be opened. Perhaps its through raising or pulling, if not completely removing the lid. Or else its done through sliding. Is it merely hinged and easily accessible, or is there a clasp in place. More particularly, is there a lock so that whats inside will be secure from theft or unauthorized handling.

Make sure that its resistant to corrosion, especially with the metal types. Corrosion, rusting, pitting and the like, spread easily like wildfire. Because the exterior of the box is often exposed to the elements, its easily on the receiving end of oxidation. And before you know it, the damage has literally spread to the pieces inside, and thats just a pity.

Also, you will need to see that the trinkets inside will not be affected in any way. For example, it may be prone to rust and corrosion, which is just damaging and detrimental to the curios. Make good sure that the presentation of the jewels and jewelry, if not added and appended to, should at least remain untouched and unaffected. Choosing the right box may make all the difference to your displays.
