Many people don't even realize that they are depressed. They simply think that the emotions are part of life and this is the way it is going to go for them. However, one should always ask questions constantly about your lifestyle and about your behaviour. There may be certain habits that you have got into or relationships you are struggling with. This is when you can ask do I have depression.

The thing is that everyone becomes depressed from time to time. However, you can't actually say that you have depressed. You may say that you are feeling down or that you are having a bad day. Not everyone has this to a severe degree that they need to take medications and they need to go for therapy.

There are symptoms to look at and this will tell you more about whether you need counseling and what the therapist will advise you of. Depression can also be different for everyone. Some people find that they are having a bout of this after they are going through something tough in their lives. Other people have a couple of bad days. There are various types of depression as well.

Depression is a symptom of the PTSD. One needs to work with the root of the cause. It can be the trauma for starters. Then, you have to look at all of the other disorders. However, over time, as you begin to talk about the ordeal or your experiences, the depression will be released.

When you deal with the depression, you will probably have to deal with the other problems in your life as well. This is often the reason that people are reluctant to go to therapy. They feel that they are not up to being vulnerable. There is no doubt, this is not easy. But then again, therapy is not like going to see the doctor. This is not an instant cure, but it will help you to get to the point where you can integrate with society.

A person with depression needs routine in their life. It is important that they eat the right things and that they stay free from addictive substances. Exercise is vital because this is what gives you a lift. It is good physically, but does a lot for you mentally as well. One needs to start the day either with meditation or spending time on your won. This will help keep the anxiety at bay.

Anxiety can develop when you are feeling depressed. It is a comorbid disorder that can develop into different types of anxiety which can be crippling when you don't address them. Things like panic attacks and social anxiety disorder are a nightmare to live with. One needs to deal with this before you encounter this.

Most people will become withdrawn. They may prefer not to socialize. A lot of people will display other reactions, which will include frustrations and irritations when communicating. Issues arise with personal relationships. Many people have physical issues. They will have aches and pains. Some folk put on weight and others lose their appetite. Anger and sadness are also common when you suffer from this.
