Seven Tactics That Make Any Free Coffee Date Fantastic

By Diane Gray

Dating is a great moment for those getting to know each other better. It is usually a great time to hang out with your partner in a serene environment with less distraction. To add taste to this, you can share a beverage and some snacks together. To have a successful free coffee date, you need to implement the following tactics.

To begin with, take time to stake out the joint. The person suggesting the date should ensure the venue is not crowded, the environment is comfortable and there is adequate seating. List the standard chain-type avenues or the funky, fun and independent coffee places you know in town. Go alone and assess the comfort the place has before you get there with your spouse. Places with cool music and poetry readings could easily broaden your date.

Being your special day, try to avoid all forms of distractions. Set your phone on vibration mode, and refrain from cyber chatting while in a dating place. The few minutes you will be together may be very significant in your relationship. If going for a date after work, ensure you dress to the occasion. Avoid being too conservative or official. Consider wearing your best fun date outfit to match the event.

Keep time. Make it to the venue at least 10 minutes before the agreed time. This will give you time to compose yourself before the date starts. Being late may be interpreted to mean you were not interested with the date. In case of an unavoidable circumstance, it is needful to communicate to your partner on time. This shows you are greatly concerned about the two of you.

Feel free to order what you feel is good for you. If you feel uncomfortable asking your favorite beverages in front of your partner, you should not worry. It is not what you order that matters but how you order. Ordering a beverage using a commanding tone will make you look either rude or a high-maintenance person. Sipping the beverage of your partner and nodding yes with a smile will make the waiter know you want a similar beverage.

What other people in the same meeting place are doing should not divert your attention towards the main theme. Do not set your eyes on the affairs of other people in there, but look the eyes of your partner straight when asking them something or responding to questions. This will not only show how you are confident, but also how keen and attentive you are.

In case you get to the venue and find it occupied to capacity, avoid being annoyed or expressing anger. Remain calm and rational, and wait for the attendants to organize a different space for you. If the weather is favorable, you can opt to buy take-a-way snacks or beverages and enjoy them on the way or look for an outdoor bench. Canceling the date in such a circumstance will not be a wise thing to do.

Finally, suggesting another hang out and setting the date would wrap it all. This would be possible if both of you were happy with the whole experience. If you did not like the place or their services, suggest options for the next meeting. Doing so will make your next outing even more fun.
